Greetings from the North Haven High School SRBI Team!  I am very excited to be working with your child and look forward to assisting him/her with meeting his/her literacy goals this year!  My educational background in both English and Spanish has been essential to my work teaching Spanish and now literacy.

What is SRBI?

Student participation in the SRBI or Scientific Research Based Instruction Program, otherwise known nationally as RTI or Response to Intervention, begins after a student is referred to the SRBI Committee for review and it is determined that a skill deficit in executive functioning, literacy, and/or math is present. Once enrolled in the intervention, the interventionist then assists the student with creating target goals for improvement. The interventionist provides direct instruction during a determinate period of time monitoring the student’s progress regularly. At the conclusion of the intervention period, the student is reassessed, and then it is determined whether the target goal(s) has been met and/or whether a new goal is needed.

I feel very fortunate to be utilizing my expertise in language to assist students with reaching their literacy goals.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.
